Vasectomy Reversal Series Part 4: Preparing Our Bodies

There are 3 distinct characteristics of God that are constant in my life:

1. He makes no mistakes

2. He’s actually quite funny

3. His timing is perfect.

With the vasectomy reversal book and planned out, it was time to start working on our health journey. We had no clue if God would bless us with another baby or if He called us to be obedient strictly for the purpose of fully relying on Him. Either way, we knew too much about how our health would effect my health during pregnancy and the health of a maybe baby - so we agreed to get healthier for what could come.

Did you know that sperm is formed 60 days in advance and eggs are formed 4 months in advance - this means is you look at your conception date, you can subtract thay time frame and see what was influencing the development of eggs/sperm emotionally, physically and environmentally. It’s pretty fascinating.

Throughout this entire process, my two best friends - Bridget and Danielle - had been educating me on pregnancy, fertility, nutrition, ovulation, honoring your cycle, lowering cortisol (stress levels) and healing past traumas.

I don’t think our insanely close friendships and their combined passion for being healthy are on accident. I do realize that most people don’t have the luxury of around the clock brainstorming sessions with a pregnancy/fertility focused Gonstead chiropractor and an insanely talented researching former nurse… so I’m going to share with you some of the things that we came up with for Jason and I to focus on with our new health journey.

TempDrop - tracking ovulation cycle. This allowed us to see if my body was ovulating monthly. Just because you have a period does not mean that you’re ovulating - and if you’re not ovulating, you’re really taking the quality off of your years in the future! When using temp drop, I turned off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth because I found that when I forgot to do so, my arm started to tingle where the sensor was at night. Without those two on, it was completely fine. I would go to sleep with the temp drop on my inner arm (facing down) and then wake up and connect the TempDrop to my phone to record the data from the night before. Your temperature should increase when you are ovulating. If you’re pregnant it will stay increased and you’ll miss your period, if not - your temp will go down and you’ll get your period.

Vitamins

Healing past trauma - fears of childbirth

Caster oil packs

Detoxing (parify (use discount code FARMFRESHFAMILY) and coffee enemas)

Black cumin seed oil - this one is for men only

Organ supplements - heart and soil are my go to for organ supplements! The Her Package has incredible support for the reproductive organs and helped support my cycle and ovulation.

Avoid seed oils

In my previous two pregnancies I’ve been diagnosed with preeclampsia. I now know that preeclampsia is directly related to the health of the sperm when baby is conceived - so focusing on Jason’s health months prior to any possible conception was key.
