Our Favorite Campover Tradition 2022
A couple months ago, I shared about our New Year’s Eve annual campover that we host at our farm and lots of friends really enjoyed it. I absolutely recommend you implement it for next year, but why wait that long?!
(If you missed out campover experience, check it out below!)
The cooler months into early spring are the perfect time frame to start your own campover tradition.
You could make it a just because celebration or use it as an excuse for an epic birthday party, family night, sabbath sleepover, or whatever!
The easiest way I’ve found to pull this off and make it successful is listed below:
1. Make it a potluck - have your guests bring their favorite dish or dessert to share with everyone.
2. Prepare a fire area - have precut, dry wood ready for an amazing fire.
3. Encourage guests to come and set up their campsite when it’s still light outside! This matters!!
4. Buy a pack of glow sticks or have your guests bring flashlights & walkie talkies for the kids to have fun with and still be safe when it gets dark.
5. Have your guests bring a breakfast item that you can cook over the fire - with everyone bringing things, you should have enough for a yummy buffet of food the next morning.
6. Prep coffee for your guests who can’t function without it!
Being able to intentionally connect with others on a deeper level and be present in the moment is something that we don’t prioritize enough - it’s worth being more intentional about!
Life is filled to the brim with distractions and things to keep us busy - slowing down is more valuable than we give it credit for!
